Roses from my Sweetheart

My Valentine Roses! So very pretty...pink, yellow, cream, and lavendar (everyone's favorite). They smelled just as nice as they look too! I received them at work a few days before Valentines Day. What a fun surprise. I loved them and everyone else at work did also.

I brought them home after they had been at work a few days and this is a picture of them sitting in the living room. Still so beautiful!

Lissy's Surprise Visit

Charlissa surprised most of us by turning up on our front door on Friday, Feb. 13 in the evening. It was so great to see her and spend time with her. We had fun gal time too. We had our toes done and they looked so cute! We made sure she had some yummy Tex Mex food before she want back to the land where they think hot sause is ketchup! YUCK!!!

We played a lot of games during her short visit. Here are a couple of pics to show some of our true feelings about the game, Phase 10.

Some people felt like they could have died by the time the game was over. It went on and on and on!
For more fun pics look at Lissy's blog and you will see some I took of her while she was playing in the rain. Pretty cute!

Houston Rodeo

On Wednesday evening, I went to the Houston Livestock & Rodeo with Nancy Yost and Dawn Davis. We had a blast. Here is a picture of exactly how it looked the evening we were there. The sunset was gorgeous and the lights and sounds were over the top! We did not go on any rides, but we did try a "deep fried TWINKIE". We split one between the three of us and that experience is one that will last a few lifetimes. What Texans will not deep fry.... We ate dinner there also and just sat and chatted and laughed and people watched. A rodeo is one of the best places to sit and just watch everyone walk past in their rodeo duds. We pretty much saw it all!

Speaking of seeing it all...we saw Alan Jackson in concert after the rodeo portion. He was awesome and did a great job singing all his songs. Not to mention, he is easy to watch on the humongous big screens there.

It was so much fun and I have Nancy to thank because the tickets were free and the parking was also free. We had awesome VIP seats. I have always loved going to the rodeo to see the celebrities in concert over the years. So glad Nancy invited me!
