Meet Charlotte Eleanor Nelson

Here is our new angel on earth! She weighed in at a dainty 6 pounds and 15 ounces. She can stretch to 19 inches right now. Lots of dark hair I hear and sweet as can be!!

Now, I know that only our family really looks at this blog and they can all also look at Adam and Laura's (and Charlotte's) but I just HAD to post these pictures on our blog too. I am certain everyone in the world would want to see this darling family!!

Thanks for looking! Yes, I would love to hear how beautiful she is and anything else about her!!

Tropical Storm Eduardo

Well, I took pictures of our yards several hours before the storm was to hit. I wanted to post before and after pics on our blog. The problem with that is...they look pretty much alike.

We went to bed Monday night with WeatherChannel's prediction that when we awoke in the morning we would be just hours away from Tropical Storm Eduardo (maybe Hurricane) hitting smack dab in the middle of Galveston.

Well, when we woke up it was discovered that the storm had already come on land and we had already gone through the worst of it. It must not have been very bad here because none of us even woke up.

We have spring and fall thunderstorms far worse than this was. Not that I am complaining mind you. I am always grateful when we are blessed to not have to face a bad storm. But, I have no pictures for y'all. Sorry, they would look just the same, no difference.

I am very grateful for the day off however. Dan had it off also. It was actually a very laid back, relaxing kind of day.

Thanks for your prayers!!

Just Zach

I just had to post this because it makes me laugh. Zach was sleeping on our way to Victoria. Head straight up even.
By the way, this is the haircut Charlissa gave him.

Nana and Papaw's

These picture are from out most recent visit to Nana and PaPaw's house. It was about a week ago now. We had fun with Raidon and Trevor. Raidon is my brother, David's son and Trevor is my nephew, Matthew's son.

This is the best cook in the world...my Mom!! You can catch her shooting pool and playing dominoes online! Hip Great Grandmother!!
Here is the King of the Family and Mr. Tenderheart himself!! Wanna bet he is watching a western or the discovery channel?
Danitra and Trevor. They look so much alike but I can still see Matthew in Trevor too. Danitra is so sweet to just drop what she is doing so often and bring Trevor over (not a short visit either) so we can see him. He just makes me happy.
Trevor and Raidon. Raidon is a sweet boy and look at those eyes! They are even prettier ( ?handsomer?) in real life.
Trevor met his match with Charlissa. The rest of us are not quite up to all his energy...but Charlissa kept up real well. Check out the next pictures. The instant Trevor saw her he was smitten....so was she!

No, the ceiling does not attach to the carpet...but I can't get the pictures to seperate. What a fun day we all had!!

Baby Shower - Stylin'

Cassie was in the Queen's Throne while she opened her gifts which was really nice because everyone could see all the action. Here are just a few pictures of the baby clothes she received.

Can't wait to see all these outfits on our baby.....ummmm, her baby.

A Baby Shower

We had a Baby Shower for Cassie while she was in Texas. It was very fun and the food was delicious as you can see.

Let me tell you about this crazy cake! See the bottom border...it is lavendar right? Well, so was the top blanket and the words "It's A Girl". But when we took the cake to the Hurst's house the sun turned the lavendar frosting to baby blue. Hmmm.........

Lyneth, Cassie, Karen, and Baby Hurst. We all looked much cuter in real life!!!
I have a lot of other pictures but Blogger is being very tempermental with the picture it will upload. I may have to do it later when it is happier. I will try again however.
Tried....not working, sorry.

When Cassie came to town

At the airport waiting for luggage. Cassie was exhausted from flying all evening, night and day just to get to Texas.
Cassie eating her favorite for breakfast....cereal, fortified with vitamins and minerals! And me, just checking out the blogs.
Cassie checking out the blogs now too. With Dan in the background serenading us. I just loved that belly and feeling the baby move so much!
It is so nice when Dan has a chance to play his guitar and sing each evening before bed. He plays and sings very well.

What's Missing?

Look at the pictures and see if you can tell what is missing from our front yard...
View from across the street....don't look in the messy garage.

Have you figured it out by now?

If not...notice there are no branches on the top of the house. And you can see where some of the branches were cut off from the last picture.
Our house looks so much better now...you can see it. Who knew??
